Ricoh THETA SC is a hand-held compact 360-degree camera released by Japanese camera maker Ricoh in 2016. It is a trimmed down version of the Theta S by the same manufacturer. Equipped with twin spherical lenses with 12.0-Megapixel effective image sensors, this little gadget can capture Full HD 1080p videos and stills. It is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and allows you to share your stills and movies via its built-in Wi-Fi to your social networks with the help of a dedicated smart app. You can capture breathtaking 360-degree images as well as movies from your Theta SC which can then be viewed on any VR headset such as Samsung Gear VR or Oculus Rift etc.

This affordable 360-degree camera powers up quickly and gets ready to capture within 1.5 seconds. It features physical buttons for power, capture/shutter, still/video switching and Wi-Fi on/off. The device comes with 8GB internal storage to store your 360-degree stills and movies. You can store up to 1600 regular stills in this storage or 63 minutes of video. A Li-Ion battery is available built-in and is rechargeable. On a full charge you can take up to 260 photos. Its 2x lens offers a 7 element/6 group construction and gives F2.0 aperture.
