Olympus Tough TG-5 is a 2017-released top-end compact digital camera designed for adventure travellers. This tough cam is designed with durability in mind. Its shockproof body can withstand drops up to 2.1 meters. The body is waterproof up to a depth of 15 meters making it possible to use it under sea for your diving adventures. The camera features a 4.5-18mm (25-100mm in 35mm equivalence) built-in 4x zoom lens with Dual-pane protective glass which protects the lens extremely well especially when temperature drops significantly. Normally when this happens lens condenses which may cause it to not work properly or even break. However, the dual pane coating stops it from happening so you can take this phenomenal point-and-shoot camera to snow-covered mountains without worrying about its performance. Furthermore, the camera is dustproof, freezeproof up to -10C and crushproof up to 100KG weight.

The camera sports a High Speed High Sensitivity 12.0-Megapixels CMOS image sensor of size 1/2.3-inches. It also features a TruePic VIII image processor with Digital Image Stabilization, the same on Olympus flagship DSLRs. This allows you to capture breathtakingly clear stills as well as videos with life-like clarity. It supports 4K Ultra HD 2160p video recording in addition to regular Full HD 1080p and HD 720p. You can also capture slow motion videos at 120fps especially for sports activities. The camera allows up to 7x zooming magnification on 35mm equivalence so you can capture from afar. Its new Olympus Image Track app (OI Track) lets you tag GPS, compass, manometer, temperature data to your stills and movies. You can then share all your captures to your friends on social media via your smart device with its built-in Wi-Fi transmitter.
