Nikon D3400 is an entry level mid-range digital compact SLR camera of Nikons popular D-series. Designed for beginner SLR photographers, this device is an update of the Nikon D3300 and comes with an upgraded EXPEED 4 image processor instead of the EXPEED 3 on its predecessor models. The new image processor allows fast capture (continuous shooting) at 5fps. It is suitable for low-light photography with very high light sensitivity of ISO 100-12800. All imagery follows the industry-standard DX format.

This compact DSLR is equipped with a mammoth 24.2 Megapixel CMOS image sensor which comes with a built-in image sensor dust-reduction system. It can capture images at 6000 x 4000 pixels and store them in compressed 12-bit NEF (RAW) format. A Pentamirror SLR Eye-level Single Lens Reflex viewfinder is provided at the back to let you snap away without any distractions. The VF gives 0.85x magnification and 95 percent coverage. The cameras lens system supports AF-S and its lens mount is Nikon F.

Included with the D3400 camera body is a pair of versatile zoom lenses 18-55mm and 55-200mm. A Super Integrated Coated lenses to reduce flare and ghosting to optimize image clarity, contrast and color neutrality and a rounded seven-blade diaphragm works to create a pleasing out-of-focus quality in shallow depth of field images. Other key specs of the Nikon D3400 are memory card slot SD/SDXC/SDHC, Type B BriteView Clear Matte Mark VII focusing screen, flash sync, continuous shooting, quick shutter release, TTL exposure, 11 autofocus points, 3D tracking, built-in flash, Face priority, Live View, Full HD 1080p recording, H.264/MPEG-4 video formats, 3.0-inch TFT LCD (170-degree view angle), image effects, Eye-Fi compatibility, mini HDMI Type C connector, Hi-Speed USB support and a rechargeable Li-Ion EN-EL 14a battery.
