Garmin Forerunner 45 GPS Running Watch (Large) is a wrist-worn watch that captures statistics from your run time, distance, pace and heart rate monitor so that you can record your heart rate and heart rate zone. It sports a 1.04-inch display with 208 x 208 pixels to show all statistics on your wrist. The Forerunner works well as an everyday fitness and activity tracker. It counts your steps, calories burned, monitors your sleep quality and will cue you to move when you have been sitting too long. An accelerometer is built in, so you can still capture running data when you are running indoors without the need for a separate foot pod accessory.

It uses GPS for outdoor runs to accurately record your time, pace and distance. The watch is water resistant and withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 m. You can connect your Forerunner to your Mac or PC to upload your activities to Garmins free online fitness community called Garmin Connect. It allows you to see your run on a map, get more detail on each mile, see a daily summary of your activities and share your activity with friends.
