Casio EXILIM EX-FR100L is a unique action-compact camera. Its design allows it to be used as a regular wearable or mountable action cam for sports activities as well as a regular point and shoot camera when you require it for casual photography. Its construction consists of two main components: the camera and the controller. For activity or wearable style shooting, you can remove the controller and use the camera only. For selfie shooting, attach the controller in line with the camera so you can see the screen. And finally for, regular point and shoot photography, you can attach the controller to the camera and fold the hinge in such a way that the camera faces front side while the screen is on the opposite side, just like a regular compact camera.

This affordable compact camera is ideal for self-portrait photography. It its unique design allows the image sensor to face you while you hold the device with your hand. In addition to the shutter beside the LCD, a secondary shutter button is provided on the frame itself so as to make it easy to take own photos. With this camera in hand, not only you will never have to ask someone else to take your photo, but you will also be always sure how you look, thanks to the new self portrait checking feature. It provides a 16mm lens (35mm equivalence) for taking photos. It boasts EXILIM Engine technology with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS back-illuminated type 10.2-Megapixels (effective) image sensor which records stills in JPEG and movies in MOV formats.

The camera models a 3.0-inch TFT LCD on the controller unit with 921,600-dot resolution and a capacitive touch panel.
