Canon Speedlite 270EX II is a compact yet high-performance flash unit designed for the evolving EOS enthusiast. It offers a guide number of 89 ft at ISO 100 when set to the 50mm position. The vertical bounce capability up to 90 degrees provides a wide range of picture-taking options. The unit features wireless slave TTL functionality for off-camera lighting when used with a master unit. The 270EX II integrates a remote control shooting setting to enables wireless triggering of certain DSLRs up to 16.4 ft away. It also has an AF assist beam and a recycle time of 0.1 to 3.9 seconds. Moreover 270EX II has a battery life of 100-680 flashes and is compatible with Type-A EOS cameras.
